HIGH SCHOOL. 4th Year.

A classmate told me she wants to take Nutrition as a course. My first reaction? IS THAT A JOKE. TELL ME IT'S JUST A JOKE. YOU'RE JOKING RIGHT?

I told her after she graduates with that degree, she would end up flipping burgers and taking orders at fast food restaurants.

Karma nga naman. Nilagay ko sa application ko sa UPCAT ang Nutrition because I had no choice. I want Biology, because we all know it's the most mainstreamest (YES I KNOW MOST NA -EST PA) pre-med course. After months of waiting, BOOM. "Hey Jake Imma give you the biggest irony your life would ever have" said by the UPCAT results with a grin.

I was shocked but then I realized UP is UP. PA-BEBE PA BA? SUNGAB NA BEH SAYANG.

So fast forward.

FIRST YEAR, FIRST SEM, FIRST DAY.

My eyes were oozing with optimism. I ended up "loving" my course. So I became an ampalaya to BS Bio peeps and I became overtly proud of my course *it's just a defense mechanism bec seeing a Bio student is like a reminder that I'm not good enough*

So ayun. I thought I'm in paradise bec UPLB is hart hart.

But I was wrong....

UPLB is a bitch.

Boom. Walng chem sa initial sched. It's like having your right foot submerged in the HCl of delay of graduation. OA ba? Well I'm so unfortunate I bec abot ako sa 2012 curriculum. Ayan.

BUT WAIT, SALAMAT SA LAHAT NG SANTO NA HINGINGAN KO NG DASAL AT SALAMAT SA DIYOS, I was lucky I managed to be a victor on the biannual UPLB hunger games bwahahahahhaha

SOPHIE. FIRST SEM. ANEK CHEM 40 HFDS 12 ASAN KA NA MALAKI TYANSA MADELAY AKO NG WALA KA SHETE NAMAN ANO (LONG TITLE? BEWARE BEC THIS PART WOULD BE FULL OF RANTS)

AYAN. INITIAL SCHED. WALANG HFDS 12 (Human Physiology) at CHEM 40 (Organic Chemistry) You know what? What I needed was these 2 majors but IRONICALLY S1 GAVE ME ECON 11, HUM 1, HUM 2, NASC 9. GEs. woah there life is full of SHIT AND IRONY. HINDI AKO NAKAKUHA SA HUNGER GAMES QUE BARBARIDAD!!!!

I had my hopes raised when the Institute of Chemistry announced they would open additional sections so the said institution would launch a priority listing. So my friends and I went to the haunting gates of PhySci at 1 am ONE FREAKING A.M. and we were first in line. YES. YES. I thought this is it. I CAN ALREADY SMELL ORGANIC SHITTSSS and my form 26 is already crying for a signature and a Chem 40 slot. I was confident. HELLO? First in line, bitches! You better give me that sweet slut  slot (oops)

Then the results were up. WOAH THERE ANDAL, JAKE BRANDON IS NOT ON THE LIST. HEY. HEY. HEY. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FREAKING SHIT OF SATAN??!!!! WOAH THERE I.C. YOU BETTER BE LIKE JOKING AND FREAKING THE SHIT OUTTA ME.

AND THEN I CRIED. HEYYYY. I TOT FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.WHY IS THE WORLD SO UNFAIR.

So ayun, nagka-PL ulti pero walang nangyari. #WalangChem :(

Nagkaroon ng tyansa magkaroon ng HNF 11, (Food Selection and Preparation), ang pinakaunang major sa BS Nutri. The petition was successful at first because they opened a new lab section during mondays, 1-7. 2 lab sessions (3hrs) would be combines to a one time-big time session. DOC H already signed our form 26s.

I WAS SO HAPPY. SABI KO AYUN, KAHIT WALANG CHEM MAY MAJOR NAMAN NA. LEGIT NUTRI NA AKO.

BUT THEN AGAIN LIFE WAS CRUEL BECAUSE ON OUR VERY FIST LAB MEETING, OUR INSTRUCTOR TOLD US THAT THE DIRECTOR DIDN'T APPROVE THE LAB SCHEDULE OF 1-7. WHAT WHAT WHAT. I CREID I WAS SO MALAS. YUNG FEELING NA ANDAMI mo ng inasikaso para dun tapos nganga.

I managed to get a slot on HFDS12, Literal na nakipagaway ako, sa sobrang bida bida nag punta ako ng OUR at naghanap ng pwede na lecture halls para mas madaming maaccomodate. From CHE MPR nalipat kami sa IHNFLH so additional 15 students were accepted. PAPATAY AKO KAPAG DI PA AKO KINUHA KAYA NAGBIDA-BIDA NA AKO. LAHAT GINAWA KO.

So I preroged at a "ay nageexist pala itong GE na ito" course, ECON 10.

So at the end of the reg period, these were my subjects.

ECON 10.
ECON 11.
HUM 1.
HUM 2.
NASC 9.
HFDS 12.
PE 2.

This is just a glimpse of my sighs as a take my BS Nutri journey. THERE WILL BE MORE. I KNOW.
